Bent - Wordpress Theme
Thank you for purchasing the Bent WordPress theme
Congratulations on purchasing the Bent theme. The setup is easy and you'll find the theme admin panel includes lots of useful options. Bent is designed to work with the WooCommerce plugin. Be sure to install the plugin.

1. Installing Wordpress top
If you have not set up your Wordpress installation yet, download the latest Wordpress version here: http://wordpress.org/download/.
You can find info on installing wordpress here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress.
2. Installing the bent theme top
In order to install the theme, you have two options:
- In the downloaded .zip file go in the /theme folder and upload the /bent sub-folder contained in it to
http://yourdomain.com/wp-content/themes/ directory via any FTP program..
- Take the bent.zip found in /theme folder and install it through the dashboard.
In order to activate the Theme:
- Log into your Wordpress admin using the following URL: http://yourdomain.com/wp-login.php
- Next, go to Appearance > Themes. Here, you should see a thumbnail of bent theme.
- Click on the Activate link to activate this theme.
- You will be prompted to intall the LayerSlider and WooCommerce plugins. Click to install and follow the prompts.


3. Adding Menus top
Overview
This theme has a custom menu. A main navigation menu called 'main-menu'
Setting up the Menus
Create the menu:

- Go to Appearance > Menus
- Add Menu Name
- Click Create Menu
- Then select it from Theme Locations
- Save
- Select the pages that you want in the menus
- Add to Menu
- Re-arrange them
- Save menu
4. Setting up the Slider top
Adding Slides

- Go to LayerSlider WP (in the WP sidebar admin)
- Click on Import Settings
- Paste the code from the 'slider' folder included in your ThemeForest download.
- This will setup the basic slider functionality. You can of course change the images, slides, text etc..
5. Setting up Home Page top
- Create a new page using the Home Page template..

- Go to WP settings/reading as shown below and set the page as your front page.

6. Adding Contact page top

- Create a new Page and select the 'Contact' template. That's it! The form will be added and emails will be sent to the administrator.
- You can add/name a new custom sidebar to be used with your contact page

- To add a google map to your contact page click on the checkbox in the theme settings panel under the "Contact Page Settings" tab
- Fill in the Latitude and Longitude to center the map.
7. Adding a Blog Page top

- Create a new Page and select the 'Blog + Sidebar' or 'Blog / Full-width' template.
8. Adding Widgets top
- Go to Appearance > Widgets

Adding New Sidebars
- When you create a page or post you can simply add the name of a new sidebar and it will be dynamically created.
- You can then go to Appearance/Widgets and add widgets to your new sidebar.
9. Adding Video Post top

- Add a post as you normally would. Add your video embed code in the "Video" metabox as shown above.
